The Brigades

Our brigades meet regularly during term time in the Regent Rooms at Rugby Baptist Church, providing a wide range of fun and interesting activities within a structured awards programme. The young people receive recognition for their achievements at the end of each Brigade year.

Girls' Brigade 6.00pm on Monday night.
Boys' Brigade 6.30pm on a Friday night.

Finishing times vary for each age group.
All leaders are DBS checked and approved by the Church to ensue a safe environment for your child.

Brigades are national organisations and more information can be found on the Brigade Websites for Girls' Brigade and Boys' Brigade.

Girls Brigade Promise: A Girls’ Brigade member will do her best to be loyal to company and church, to be honest, truthful, kind and helpful; and to remember The Girls’ Brigade motto: Seek, Serve and Follow Christ.

The object of the Boys' Brigade is: The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.
Motto: Sure and Steadfast.

GB at Home

During the lock-down, GB still wants to provide fun and hope for young people. You can now access these resources via their Resources Zone:

  • GB@Home: a free weekly resource for the four age groups we work with, but suitable for everyone, not just GB members! Includes craft, Bible study, and games.
  • GB@Home certificates: a free template to download and print to celebrate young people's achievements as they use the GB@Home resources.
  • Stay Connected sheet: to help GB leaders think of ways to stay connected to other GB members when they can't physically meet.

BB at Home

We are excited to launch #BBatHOME - a fun and exciting programme of activities for children and young people to try at home each week! Find out more here, including resources to download.

We also have a new Facebook group set up so we can continue to be in contact with you all.

We've started to meet back at church now, with lots of measures in place to keep us all as safe as possible. Please get in touch if you'd like more info.

Keep in touch with your contacts and encourage thre young people through them to keep in touch with us. Keep in touch with Jesus through prayer, praise and worship and service. Pray that we will continue to place young people in touch with Jesus so that one day we will all be together with him face to face.
